Synopsis

Nate Grey sails to Muir Island from mainland Europe, moors his sailboat, then climbs the cliff toward Excalibur's headquarters.  As he ascends, he recalls his meeting to request help from Peter Parker at the Daily Bugle building.  Peter recommends Nate seek out one of the X-teams to aid him with his waning telekinetic powers. At the top of the cliff, Nate telepathically renders himself invisible so as to pass by Nightcrawler, Amanda Sefton and Wolfsbane outside, then Kitty Pryde and Pete Wisdom within Excalibur's home.  However, sensors have alerted Moira McTaggart to Nate's presence, and she brings him into her lab.   Since Nate was close to his dimension's Forge, Moira tries to contact X-Factor, but is told by government liason Val Cooper that X-Factor (including this Earth's Forge) are believed dead. Meanwhile, under New York City, the Dark Beast, Havok and Fatale monitor Nate's whereabouts, as they make plans for the Brotherhood. Back in her lab, Moira unexpectedly begins firing upon Nate with her weapon.  Once Nate telekinetically stops her, she explains he's been repressing his own powers, not losing them; her 'attack' was meant to force Nate to reawaken his abilities.   As Nate stands on the cliff, preparing to depart, Havok and Fatale materialize in front of him.
